I am taking accounting course from an accredited school (PCDI) to be exact. After I finish my course which I estimate to be in 9 months with a diploma saying I passed will I be hired by a company. Will they take my certificate serious or will they want me to have a degree and more schooling? I know to be a CPA you have to be certified but in the accounting field must I be certified for other positions. I plan to take more schooling online and earn an associates degree will that help me out too in being promoted? Are online courses really legit in helping people get hired for the career of their dreams?

I am planning on answering my CPA exam in New York state soon. I have 30 accounting credits and need 3 more. Since I work, I would like to take a CHEAP online course at a REGIONALLY ACCREDITED online college. The cheapest I have found was New Mexico Junior College ( per credit) and a few community colleges in New York State in the SUNY system (0 per credit). I am NOT interested in Penn Foster or Univ of Phoenix. I want a college that is REGIONALLY ACCREDITED, as these are the requirements in New York State to answer the exam. Once I get that, I will have the 150 credits required to sit for the exam.

Hello,
I am 24 working a dead end job in western NY and tired of knowing I’ll get nowhere.
While working my full time job I plan on taking distant learning classes online with my local community college (SUNY ECC) in order to get my Associates Degree. Then after that transferring the credits earned there and going after a distant learning program with SUNY at Buffalo (University at Buffalo) and earning my Bachelors degree.
Would this be a good way to go?
I have yet to decide what to go for… the areas that I’m interested in and would like to work in are Accounting or some type of Computer/Software Engineering.
Do you know which of these would be best to choose? Whether it be salary, job vacancies, etc,
Would there be any decent paying jobs out there that I could get with an Associates Degree? (I’ll be working towards a Bachelors at that time)

He is a civilian contract living on base in the middle east. He wants to go to school for business with a minor in accounting. Can he go to college online while doing that? Would local junior colleges accomodate that? Which online colleges would? I am in the states.

Already have a BS in Business Administration and majored in marketing 10 years ago, never worked in the accounting field. Should I get a masters in accounting? MBA with concentration in accounting? What’s the best route to get a job in accounting? Don’t have the time to go to a campus to attend classes so thinking about online course. Is getting an online degree creditable now, if so, which one?

Im 21 and have just failed my university degree in business and information technology due to not being so good with the technical information technology modules. I have since quit the University. But Im very motivated by the fact that I have failed and willing to viciously undo the failures and severely prove my capabilities to myself and my parents and improving my own future. Whether I can do it or not is not a problem r how much hard work is required is not a problem, I just want to know if this is worth it.
Im pretty good with the business side and Im now considering doing a proffessional qualification in ACCA, association of chartered and certified accountants online, or on campus, im also thinking of doing another degree at another university in accounting and finance, with a personal acca online course on the side. so that when I complete my university degree i will have both my degree and acca MBa qualifications. After this Im willing to work for a while and then study another proffessional qualification in business operations management Later In London. Is it worth it?, is there still time
