Should I get MBA or Certificate?
Hello,
I am so confused. I am in process of doing MBA for Cal Lutheran Univ but it is super expensive and my work is not paying. I dont want to take student loan as I already have house loan. I asked my boss he said education is good but expereice make a difference. So after being so lost, I though of doing a certificate course in Finance that can help me at work. Also certificate course is cheap and my company will pay for it, and it also help me at work, But I dont know will MBA help me get a job, I am not doing from prestgious univ but at online campus. I asked help from my director but he himseld does not have degree. So I dont know how to choose right decision, please advise .

No degree will guarantee you a pay increase. So, if the MBA is more than you can afford, it might be wise to wait.
I recommend doing the certificate first, anyway. Since they are willing to pay for it, and since it will be helpful, regardless, do that now. You can always go back and do the MBA later. For now, do what they will pay for. Who knows if another door will open for an MBA later.
