I’m moving from NY to FL at the end of august. I’ve taken 8 online classes at two different schools and loved it. I’ve done sitting in class at community college, I’ve done moving away from home and living at college; neither I liked. Online classes are a great option for me since it’s at my pace and since it frees up a lot of my time that I’ll need to spend working to pay for my new apartment.
I’m a psychology major and have taken 1 psychology class INSIDE the classroom and 3 OUTSIDE the classroom and learn MUCH more from OUTSIDE the classroom. I’m very close to graduating I just need 1 math class.
I’ve looked at University of Phoenix, but it’s so expensive, and I’ve heard heavily mixed reviews about it. Any other colleges offer good psychology degrees, well accredited, and will take into account the other classes I took at community college and perhaps I could just graduate with their online degree?
Any ideas on good colleges with good degrees in Psychology?
OOPS! My bad. As of right now I’m going to graduate with ‘individual studies’ and then switch my major to psychology.

I’m thinking about getting a bachelors in accounting with DeVry online. I’m in NYC by the way. I heard most employers don’t like online learning. But since DeVry IS AN ESTABLISHED INSTUTION I.e. An actual real life campus that offers IN PERSON and ONLINE learning – in that case, will it make a difference to employers?
Because I’m 24 and I have a job already, I don’t have time to go to a school in person like that so this would be great for me. I have a friend who’s my age and she’s doing devry online, she’s in her last year and tells me its great.
But I’m just worried about employers. So what do you guys think?

I live in Saginaw, Michigan (a place where jobs are scarce).
I don’t have debts, I would like to borrow k from the FAFSA to pay for my bachelor in accounting/finance at the Columbia College of Missouri online.

I have been looking around for moths now for a well accredited and legitimate online school. I have found some but how ever some have restrictions.. Help me choose a school that will fit the following criteria..
* Associates in Accounting
* I am looking to complete the degree 100% from home online. But how ever I like the schools that have a campus as well, just seems more legit.
* It would have to be a undergrad degree..
* I have been taking a few general Ed calsses at my community college. ( Math, English and a Computer course for a total of 9 credits.)
There are so many college out there.. that offer online now I am not sure where to start, although aware of the scams and the non accreditable schools out there. Please narrow it down for me.
Also.. What are your comments on a associates in accounting? thanks

Being a college student I don’t have a lot of money, but I would like to try buying some stocks. Which online broker (for example E trade, Scott trade, ING, Ameritrade, Share Builder, Options X Press, etcetera…) would be the best way to go for my low volume trades, considering account fees, trading fees, broker fees, minimum fees, and any other kind of fees or costs that I am not aware of? If you have had bad experiences please share them with me as well. Thank You!

I work full time and the nearest college to me is an hour away. I know some companies may feel that online degrees are not as good, but I don’t feel I have a choice. However, I do want to go to a college that is regionally recognized and accredited, one that will transfer over to any other college later on when I go back for my masters. Any suggestions? Thanks

I’m going to a community college and will graduate with my associates after the fall 09. I want to transfer to an online college if possible and I’m looking at Western Governors University(wgu.edu). I was wondering if anyone has gotten a degree in accounting (or other business area) online and how their employers looked apon the degree. Was there any trouble getting a job with the degree? Or trasfering to another college for a masters (online or traditional)? I just want to find out if there is any added trouble with getting a job and pursuing a higher education from having gotten a degree from an online degree. I would be especially interested in anyone’s experience who has received a degree from WGU.

So I will be applying for financial aid this upcoming January for college with FAFSA. I just wondering whether I should put some extra cash that i have lying around in a savings account online with a apr of 5.30 percent or should I hold it off.
So lets say if I had 5000 in cash (which i don’t, but i wished i had that much) laying around. Should I put that into an online savings account? Or wait till college is over so i can get more financial aid?

I want to enroll into a Masters of Accountancy. What is the difference between CAL STATE and UC programs besides the significant cost difference. > Will one make me more money than the other?? Does one have an advantage at getting hired easier?? Do employers really look at where the degree was earned? (ex. phoenix college online vs. uc vs. cal state)…
I currently have 0 years exp. in accounting yet I earned a BS in Business.
ALSO-whats difference: "MBA/Accounting" and "MBA" and "Accounting" … This is all confusing to me.

I'm planning on going for my accounting degree but there are so many online schools to choose from. I was wondering if anyone knew of any schools that are more accredited than others or if it really doesn't matter which one I choose.
Also if anyone knew what all would be involved with this degree, that would be greatly appreciated. I know classes like business ethics and basic math classes would be on my class list, but I'm wondering what else I would have to go through and how long getting this degree would take to complete.
So basically, any info about online colleges or an accounting degree in general would helpful. Thanks!

I am looking for a good online bachelors degree in accounting from a “real” college. Any suggestions?
I currently have an associates in business, so I'm looking for a good program to complete my bachelors and eventually work toward a cpa. I've done alot of research and found a few.

Will I be able to find a job? It's regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). It's a Christian University, not that that matters to a future employer, but I wanted the Christian atmosphere, even if it's an online degree.
I already have an A.S. in Business Administration from a traditional university, but I wanted the accounting degree, and this was the best fit for me.
I'm worried based on the stuff that I've read that I'll have trouble finding a job after I graduate in a little over a year and a half. I really want to work in the accounting field.
This degree comes from a traditional brick and mortar school that also offers some online programs. It's also a not for profit, so it's not like some of the other ones… It's like going to Dukes online program, same thing. I just fear that I'll have trouble finding a job even with all I've mentioned.
Do you think my future in the accounting field looks hopeful
Thanks guys. It's a degree from a regionally accredited university. It's in accounting. It's from a real brick and mortar…We'll see what other people say. I already know the school I'm going to, so it's not a matter of choosing a school. It's a school in my state that just so happens to offer some online degrees as well as their traditional "on campus" degrees. NCA is the accreditor, so I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks everyone so far.

So, I work for my fathers business, we use PeachTree Complete Accounting 2008. I mostly do everything, but yet we have a bookeeper that we communicate through email or phone, so sometimes if I need help I’ll send her a back up and she’ll make the changes, then I’ll restore it. However, I would like to know more about PeachTree, on how to work it.
For example, we got a loan to pay off our 4 working trucks, I don’t know how I would add that on PeachTree, our bookeeper said that she would tell me over the phone, but I really want to learn to do everything on my own, maybe still have that bookeeper on the side but yet for me to be able to do everything. Is there a class online that I can take if so what course name would it be? And what college? any community college?
