I don’t know if I have been getting good grades in my classes. i know others will think that they are good its just that I really dont think that they are really that good.

I would like to know if any of you guys know of any good online doctoral of clinical psychology school? I only know of two universities so far…which are Walden University and Capella University. I would like to find more choices if there are more out there. The school has to be online and offers clinical psychology licensure courses and of course it has to be regionally accredited by the higher learning commission. Just some facts: I just graduated from my freshman year in high school, and I had gotten a detention this year. I had also gotten 2 detentions in 6th grade, but both of them were just for organization; my teacher had found my notebook on the floor, so she thought it was necessary to give me a detention…..

I have 2 questions, and please try to answer with additional details please. (you don’t hav to do a lot, just how much you feel like doing)

a) Does getting a detention show up on your permanent record?

b) Does having a detention in your history affect how appealing you look to colleges?

I feel like I really made the biggest mistake of my life freshman year of high school and I am so dissapointed in myself for doing this because I am very intelligent and I screwed my life up. Last year I failed Algebra 1 and due to that I have I am taking it right now my sophomore year.

I am a sophomore in high school now and I am now in a different state and different county and at my old school freshmans did not take history and now I come to this new school and I find out that freshmans here do take history so now I am not only behind in Alegbra 1 but now I am also behind in World 1 History. Also, my freshman year I took earth science and now I come here and I am taking Biology 1 when I am supposed to be in Chemistry I feel extremely left behind and out of place and I don’t know what to do honestly this worries me so much I can’t sleep at night and I am constantly thinking about my life and my career, What do I do? I am behind and I am aiming not for the standard diploma but for the Advanced Diploma.

I am behind in 3 classes (Algebra, World History 1, and Biology) how can I make these up? In VA the online courses are 0 per course and that is out of my range. How can I make up these credits? I really need it made up by junior year so that I could be on track and in AP classes all by 11th grade. Is that possible?

I KNOW THAT I CAN HANDLE AND WORK REALLY HARD if i get to ap classes by junior year but can I make all the courses I failed freshman year over the summer or maybe even now? I would do anything literally just to get back on track I really need this.
Thank you guys so much for your help, by the way for the summer I go to my father in Southern California, are there any summer courses I could take there to make up my Chemistry and Geometry so that I could be on track by 11th grade? and maybe be in Advanced (AP) classes?

I saw something on byu’s website, but that’s only for half of a credit, and also a little on the expensive side, especially if I would have to take two to add up to a full credit. I have been corresponding with this marriage counselor online for the past few months. His last subject, "How do you know when to Quit?" I read it and here was my response to him: I’m sorry to say it’s time to quit. There’s been infidelity, definitely broken trust; emotional neglect/abuse; The "brink of divorce" came in 2007, when he secretly went to see an attorney for legal advice. I found out because his dad paid for the "retainer fee" when my husband brought the remainder of the check home to give back to his dad. I am totally bored with this man. He is very stubborn and is "always right." He hides savings/money from me; limits me with the amount of money I can use in our "joint checking account"; we go through days of silent treatment; the sex was great (not anymore, babe), but I think he uses that as an assurance that everything is OK between us. There is definitely a communication problem in this household. We have three young adult daughters living with us. Two in college in the early 20’s; one still in high school, 17. They all agree there is a communication problem in this household, and who by the way they always side with him about everything, and as far as he concerned, "they never do anything wrong"; he doesn’t appreciate me, and refuses to go to marriage counselling "because nothing’s wrong with our marriage, it’s me". Here lately, all we do is yell at each other, in front of the kids, of course. He can’t seem to discuss anything with me in private. I have been home for 20 years plus raising my three daughters. I think he is miserable, too, but he won’t go see a lawyer because he "doesn’t want to give up any of "his" money". Hey, come one, doesn’t he know that half of his income, property, etc., is mine? In earlier years, my husband would cut me down, I would run upstairs to our bedroom, shut the door and cry. He has done this our whole marriage. He keeps money hidden from me, won’t let me have access to our savings acccount, either by papers statements or online. I am not to know anything about money. He as a 401k that he won’t share information about with me. We have an equity line of credit on our home and he says "I have no access to it and can not use it for anything should I need something". He put the thing in his name and his name only, even though I signed the Deed of Trust with the bank. No one at the banks we use will even discuss anything with me about any of the accounts that exist because "my name’s not on the account". He bought a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix a year and a half ago. He won’t let me drive, it. He won’t even give me a key to it. Again, what’s his is mine. Right? He tells me to "Just go out and get a job." I want to pursue a paralegal career. I am a legal secretary and want to get a "good" job. (I may need it). He won’t support or pay for me taking any classes online to pursue a better career. He says my going back to work as a paralegal won’t start for me with a "bang." I am 48. I don’t look my age and don’t feel my age. He didn’t support me when my mother was ill with Alzheimers in 2001. He wasn’t there for me when she passed. All this had (in the past, I’m OK now) put me in a deep depression. So bad that I had to be hospitalized for two weeks last year, (had gotten down to 115 pounds), wouldn’t eat etc., received electro-compulsive therapy and medications. I now doing fine now, all off medications. While I was depressed, he would make "fun" of me. I remember pacing outside in the front yard. He would stop his yardwork and pace with me. Why didn’t he pick up on the signals of my depression? Why didn’t he call someone for help for me? I remember even asking him to "help me." Nothing. I was on so much medication that I can not remember years (seriously) of my life. Seven to be exact. I am now so angry with him, I want out. He won’t change and won’t go to counselling because "It’s my fault things are this way." I don’t have any money or anywhere I can go. What do I do?

I know that wives asking questions about their husbands and porn situations is not uncommon, but I have perused the internet for a situation like mine and have yet to find one. So I’ll throw this out there and see if anyone can help.

I have always had a higher sex drive than my husband. It has been an issue since the day we started fooling around. I love sex: talking about it, doing it, thinking about it, planning it, etc. He, on the other hand, rarely even mentions sex if I don’t first. He turns me down for sex at least once a week. I’ve gotten lately to where I don’t even ask because being turned down–again–is so painful.
I am eager to please him in bed. He’s not one to suggest things to try, but when he has, I’ve been enthusiastic and really gotten into it! I mean, I’m the girl who gave her husband blowjobs regularly during the 6 weeks after I had my daughter because we couldn’t have sex and I knew that we both needed to connect sexually. And I’m also a very attractive, physically fit 23 yr. old who dresses sexily (when appropriate) and works out 6 days/week. I get hit on at the grocery store every week–even though I have my 1 yr. old daughter with me. I am smart (valedictorian of high school class) and funny, as well. I know it sounds like bragging, but I just want to give some background so that no one says, "Well if you would lose weight, put out more, be more sexy/experimental he wouldn’t need to look at other women!!" My husband gets sex every day if he wants it. And trust me, it doesn’t have to be missionary style. This is not the problem.

So here’s the deal: About a month after we got married, my husband confessed to having a porn addiction since he was approx. 13. This went on through our year long engagement. I had even asked him about it prior to our marriage–he lied. Of course, I forgave him for lying and told him I’d do anything he needed to help him. He desperately wanted to stop watching porn. About a year after this, he confessed that he’d been watching it again. I had thought that since he was getting sex nearly every night he certainly wouldn’t need porn, so it was a huge blow to my self-esteem and trust in him that he needed porn on top of all I was giving. But, again, I forgave him and trusted him again. He asked me to ask him regularly how he was doing in that area, which I have done over the course of the year, and he always says, "It’s sometimes a temptation to want to look–I mean, naked women, come on!–but I don’t want that in my life anymore." But a couple nights ago I started telling him that I felt a distance between us, like he wasn’t with me during sex, etc. He confessed, again, to watching porn. He said it was easier than coming to me for sex. He apologized for lying all year about it. He cried and yelled about how much he hated it–how he felt like it was destroying his life. Of course I cried, too–it’s hard to watch someone you love go through and put you through this.
But this time it hasn’t been as easy to forgive. There are several reasons for this. 1. This is the 3rd time he’s lied to me and hidden things from me. 2. He’s getting his MBA online and working full-time, so he rarely gets to spend time with me and our daughter. He gets home from work, eats dinner, goes up to his office and does homework until bedtime. He’s been watching porn while I try to keep our dd quiet and stay out of his way so he can do his homework. We’re down in the living room just waiting for him to finish his school so he can be with us. And he’s watching porn. 3. He rejects me regularly for sex with a real live human being, but wants to jack off to porn? 4. I’ve offered to watch porn with him in the past if that would make him feel better and not feel so bad for liking it–he said, "No, that stuff disgusts me now. And I don’t want to expose you to that filth." Another lie. 5. My parents are going through a possible divorce right now bc of my father’s 30 yr. porn addiction that led to an affair (This is how my father and his therapist describe it). How can my husband watch the pain and horror going on right in our family because of porn and still choose to go there??

As you can see, I am confused and hurt. But I love my husband. I’m just unsure about how to have a successful marriage when you can’t trust your spouse. I’M not the one trying to force him to stop using porn–from the day he told me he’s been desperate to stop for his own reasons. But he keeps lying. And he can’t stop using porn–no matter how hard he tries.

What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to feel?

I’m looking to major in something along the lines of International Business, Business ADministration, International Relations, or something in Foreign Languages. In my college search, if I look at colleges that have majors in international business, business administration, and international relations, the list is a bit long. I really would like to study foreign languages and to take multiple courses in foreign languages. So, I’m wondering, if I look at colleges based on the majors that they offer, and they only have a few majors in foreign languages, but ahve all of the other majors in business that I like, should I go? Also, if that school does not necessarily have a long list of foreign language majors, would it still be possible for that school to have multple courses in different foreign languages? ANd, if so, how would I know what colleges have courses in which languages even thought hey dont have a major in that certain language?

I am in the 10th grade in high school. I took algebra I in 8th grade, skipping pre-algebra, and I took Biology last year, skipping Physical Science. I am already 2 classes ahead of most in my grade. I have been looking into taking online high school courses so that next year can be my senior year, meaning I could graduate at the end of next year. When we called to ask my guidance counselor for more information on courses I should take, she informed us that our principal isn’t allowing early graduation because she "Feels we will be missing out on too much." Is this really her decision? Should we inform the school board? Is there any way around this other than moving to a different school?

I recently found out that schools aside from the accreditation for the whole school also have a specific accreditation for the business program: AACSB. I have taken already 4 courses out of the 12 courses to get my MBA from Florida Tech which is regionally accredited but not accredited by the AACSB. I havent taken the GMAT and have started to prepare though I have been out of school for like 14 years or so. My english is okay but my math not so great. The problem is that by the time I get all the stuff needed to get into a bigger MBA program and hopfully to get in I would have finished my MBA with Florida Tech. What should I do. I am 35 years old.
