I’m a senior with a GPA hovering around 3.73, unweighted. I am deeply involved in many extracurriculars (with many leadership positions), and I have excellent test scores and sterling letters of rec., but my GPA doesn’t make me feel good about colleges like UPenn and Cornell.

I’m thinking of taking AP Biology over the summer at Keystone Online High School, but it’s costly- just under 0. But since it’s a full year course, I’m pretty sure that’s not one, but two, additional A’s. Should I do this? Will it give me extra leverage in the college admissions offices?

Collegeboard and Princeton Review’s college search features are complete crap for somebody like me who doesn’t have much an idea of what I want to do in the future…

Does anybody know of a college search that will ask me more about my personality or what I want in the college other than very basic social stuff and academics?

GMAT preparation course?

I am thinking of take GMAT pre course at Kaplan and it like 14 weeks for Math and Verbal, plus 6 weeks for AWA and the cost so expensive ( 2,700usd)(in Tokyo) However language required at least 550 TOEFL and i got only 500 for level check. Someone said i can study by myself with guide book and study online as well, no need to spent that much money!
I will have trial lesson for 01 hour on this Thus then see how, but actually tution fee is so expensive and I am so confusing. I am preparing for MBA in Fall 2008.
Any suggesion? please advise. Thanks so much!

and my school isn’t having summer school so i have to do it online but im late… is there any schools i can still register for? i go to school in Los Angeles,California.

Where to find info about MBA programs?

I'm looking to start researching MBA programs, but AH! where to start!? Specifically I'm looking for MBA programs that have a concentration/track in marketing or communications of some sort. I'm wondering if anyone's had any luck with online sources and/or books. In addition (but less immediate), if anyone has advice for which GMAT test-prep courses are top notch, that would be helpful as well. THANK YOU!!

I want to enroll into a Masters of Accountancy. What is the difference between CAL STATE and UC programs besides the significant cost difference. > Will one make me more money than the other?? Does one have an advantage at getting hired easier?? Do employers really look at where the degree was earned? (ex. phoenix college online vs. uc vs. cal state)…
I currently have 0 years exp. in accounting yet I earned a BS in Business.

ALSO-whats difference: "MBA/Accounting" and "MBA" and "Accounting" … This is all confusing to me.

Online College For Single Math Course?

My wife needs to finish her Air Force degree and all she needs is 3 credit hours in a math course, but she needs it in the next 3 months and no one near us is offering a math course. Please recommend a University/College that does online individual courses, must be accredited, hard work is not a problem, can't do proctored exams (travel constantly), prefer under 0 (tuition assistance), NOT PHOENIX (not paying over 00 for a single course). Thanks for suggestions.
We're in New Mexico right now. The colleges that we have spoken to that required a proctored final, required that you set up the test before the course even began, she doesn't know where she'll be at that time, so she can't set it up. Honestly she could care less about the "quality" of the education, it's a single math course and she's an adult with no desire to become a mathematician.

How do I become a tutor? Please help!?

Well, here's the point of this: How do you become a tutor?

I'm 14 years-old, and in 8th grade. Next year, I'm going to be a freshman, and I'm going to do online courses to graduate early. I was thinking about tutoring little kids, possibly elementary students and kids who are in middle school. I think it might be better for them to get tutor from someone whose the same age as them rather than someone whose an adult. I know that some tutoring facilities won't hire me. But I am pretty smart. I get all As and I'm an extremely hard worker. My science teacher told me that taking 9th grade biology in high school would just be a waste of my time, so he told me to just take AP biology and all AP and Honor classes.

Honestly, I'm doing tutoring because I want the experience to be with kids, I know I want to be a mom when I'm older and I want to become a pediatrican. I'm not a very "sporty" person, I use to be but now I'm more attached to work than sports. So on my college application, when they don't see sports I hope they'll see something better like tutoring or volunteer work.

How do I start a tutoring job? Like what should I do? Put up signs?

Animal Career Direction?

Hello!

I'm a full-time college student at SBCC (sbcc.edu) and have an interest and compassion for animals. Unfortunately, my school doesn't offer any animal-related certificate or degree programs (unless you count Biology). Though, they do provide a couple of classes in Zoology. Are there any reputable online courses out there?

I don't want to be a DVM because I don't want to perform surgeries. I was considering becoming a Vet Tech, but am not sure how well I'd handle doing euthanasia. And, I'd like to have the option of starting my own business someday..Vet Techs must always work under someone, correct? Then, I started thinking about becoming an Animal Shelter Manager, but I'm not sure where to begin.

I just know that I'd like to have a career helping animals. Any advice, suggestions, etc would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks!
Nandina – How about a "No Kill" shelter?

Hi! I am about to have a baby in the next two weeks or so. I am still looking for continue my education, but looking for a complete online, accredited school.
I have an associates in arts already.
I am interested in becoming a dental hygienist, an RN, chiropractor or psychologist. But I am open to new suggestions of course.
